It is good to honor those that deserve honor. At least, the late Deyda is not forgotton. His legacy has survived the test of time. The coverage accorded to his legacy by itself is enough to intimidate those cowards that took his life. I am really impressed by the Point and the many outlets that made it a point of duty to remember Deyda.

But like the daughter to Steve Biko complained one time in South Africa, though his father was killed because of the South African struggle, his father's name was almost a forgotten name. (Courtesy & forwards by Sab/Bantaba.) If trends are to go by, then Deyda's situation is truly different.
In the overview, it is amazing how you can try to eliminate something that burdens you -some truth that intimidates you, and in then achieve the opposite. I am sure any time that Deyda's name is mentioned, the cowardly killers will feel a sense of guilt, a touch in their wounded hearts, a strange feeling -one that reminds them of what awaits them in the hereafter. It is indeed a worst state of affairs to be in, knowing that their hands are dirty with blood of humanity. In the end, there is a true failure on their part. Had they known, Deyda would have better lived than die.
