The interesting thing is the reactions to Babylons statement. You are right Kay, even Babylon has the right to say her/his say without it beeing taken personaly.
The fact is racism is not as simple as many would like us to think...that Gabians are as racist as THE RACIST.....

babylon. oh la la. It is official now. Tell all the gambians and toubabs. I ain't no toubab. puffff. turks no toubab. Is that the reason we can't enter EU?

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

What I meant was that the majority in here who talk the loudest are non-africans.

that is true. Non africans are the loudest people in the world. I am a non-african. Whites are non-african. Turks are non-african. You said white people and a turk. did i understand you correctly?

"White people and a turk" that is correct. To tell you the truth I dont see turks as white. I see them as asian. But if you feel white then go ahead.

Yes I do have an obsession with age, most women do not age well so that is not something to look forward.
Atleast when you get older you could look better by acting as if you aint a dumb old hag.. (even if you are...)

Turkey is where East and West meet. A place with an exotic mix of cultures...or at least that is what I imagine as I have never been.

Defining people by the colour of their skin is only a few steps from apartied thinking. We all need to look beyond that.

Turk, I have always thought of as very intelligent, well travelled and a bit of a trouble maker on Bantaba sometimes. I never really thought about the colour of his skin. Saw the picture of him with his baby looking proud. Not white, not Africa...... but really these days who cares? !!!!

Bev, don't make Turk's ego even bigger than it already is...

Interesting point Babylon made (even though i would like to ignore the rest of her postings): are Turkish people 'white'?
My own black partner cannot understand why we, the Dutch, call the Moroccans that live here in Holland 'black'. He thinks they are 'white'. Now, they themselves call him 'black' mostly in a very unpleasant and racist way ('hey, blackie). Does every group of people need to feel that there is at least one other group they can look down upon? It seems that it has been like this through the ages..........

Well, Babylon feels she can look down upon women that are older than she is herself. The arrogance of youth (i told her before because this is not the first time she feels she has to advise us to go and knit socks for our grandchildren). This is not racism, it is discrimination which is also a consequence of a lack of understanding.

well Anna, let me just explain why I do not like women when they turn 50-60 and loose their looks (besides Madonna..) , because most of the time they turn into total bitccches who think they can do and say whatever they want and they hate younger women! especially those of us who look good and take care of our bodies. haha.
Maybe it is a total misunderstanding, but this is my experience having to have deal with them in worklife and in general. Is it the menopaus or why are they like this?
I just dont like older women, we dont get along at all. It is a mutual hate.

My point is: there are too many of your kind in Africa; nagginf old women who think they´re all that and a bag of chips. It is quite sickening actually. Stay at home and knit a pair of socks for your grandchild instead of complaining, it suits you better.

Sorry, Njucks - the credits for being funny should go to Babylon (who probably can't knit a sock even if her life depended on it).

For Babylon:
sorry to hear about that, girl! Could be a missed opportunity on your part because it takes all kinds of women..
Hope you love your mum (and she loves you back).
BTW: i saw a picture the other day of Madonna without make-up on..wow, really old.

But let's not get off topic. I heard you.
