Could someone plz tell me a reasonable way to fly across the Atlantic (from anywhere in the US to Gambia), say in December? The current prices are lunar high!

Hi Prince If you have no set dates try a last minute booking.

More and more UK travellers are opting for indirect , independent ways (low cost airline to another European destinaion then onwards from there).
It might be worth you researching into this option.

Thanks Princess. I'll be using miles to get a free ticket to London, then pay through my nose for a thomascook flight to Gambia.

Do you know any reasonably priced way to air freight goods to Gambia (from London)? ThomasCook allows only 20kg of luggage...

Prince will your airmiles get you to spain? if so look here this might be a cheaper option.

Or even Amsterdam

Thomascook tend to have the better allowance, if its stuff your taking for clinics and schools etc ask for a charity status increase, normally gets the allowance upped to 35kg.If you cannot get the free charity status negotiate a pre- price for the extra weight when you book, rather than paying extra at the airport.

If you want to send more stuff I suggest you use DHL not particularly cheap but secure and fast takes two days to send from London and collect in Banjul

hi prince, if you are coming to london, check out Gambia Experience webiste the way prices are dropping you might get a goo deal it oculd be worth taking the package deals and not using the room if you have somewhere else to stay.
shipping good from London try Robert Clair, they can do airfreight but it is expensive try shipping it out, and getting it to arrive after you have arrived. takes some planning but can be done.
ENJOY
