Thanks for the info guys I have now found the information
However as this thread went of on a tangent from Gambia Experience to the umbrella company Serenity Holidays Ltd I was hoping to find the tourist figures for The Gambia listed there but unfortunately this only gives the total bookings for all the companies operating under the Serenity banner as listed by Hiz

Snuggles i'm not sure what it is you want
Do you want actual Tourist figures of people arriving at Gambia or The amount of tourist booking GE holidays

Its extremely difficult to pin down tourism figures for some reason maybe someone knows where these can be found. I thought this was interesting as i'm sure its only GE that fly from the UK in June (closed season)

The Gambia Tourism Authority (GTA) has just released the June 2008 tourist arrival figures. Altogether, 3,480 tourists visited The Gambia in June this year. Of the lot, the greatest number of arrivals came from Britain, 884. This is followed by Gambians, 817; Dutch, 449; Spaniards 358; Belgian 117; German 116; and Swedish, 108.

Yes Hiz Bookings from the uk.
You are right for some reason it is very difficult to get any breakdown figures from what I can see.
Also regarding the Gambia Tourist Authority Im wary of what they state because if I remember correctly in October or November of last year they apparently stated that over 11000 came in the 4 week periode. Which was fantastic not being the peak months However I phoned all the airlines and ask how many fights per week they flew to Gambia and even at full capacity which I dought this figure could not be reached. ummmm

ummmmmm indeed you might get some answers from ABTA if you contact them direct.
The problem is the GTA release the figures(though ive no idea where they are published)if these are dubious, I guess there's no way of getting an answer.
The 2008 budget just outlines an estimate of arrivals no breakdowns or concise data.
