i always visit the Gambian writers website and there are many interesting articles and authors out there. this link is interesting. http://www.gamwriters.com/53.html
the site is making gambians aware of their potentials, imagine the many good postings here by kondorong, dalton, kaanibaa, madis karamba etc. this are immortalise here in bantaba, if we can also go over some valuable posting we make and then redesign them into a more professional and acadamic paper, it will be useful to gambian researchers. think about it. send interesting papers to info@gamwriters.com.

| I suggest Bro Dalton serves as moderator in these regards and perhaps do the transfers with Momodou, using the credits to benefit charities in the Gambia if they yield any fruit. |

Bro Kaniibaa & Uncle Suntou,
Thanks for sharing this with us and the honor too, but little me is not qualified to spearhead such, especially with the too many binds hanging on my little hands and head. I promise to be part of any volunteering promotion team as progress yields. Many like you, the Kays, the Suntous, the Madibas and the other geeks can help us with it. Please!
Thanks, Dalton |

| kaanibaa, good thought. but for now, go through your personal achieves and sent the brilliant intellectuals stuffs you have there to info@gamwriters.com. later a coordinated effort can begin. this is Gambians we are talking about. good at ideas but poor at implimentation. i have seen scores of folks declining to undertake research to the Gambia due to lack of materials. this is embarrassing. we can quote 13th century philosophers and foriegners but not one of our own. the time is now. many westerners did their Phd thesis on the gambia, yet very few gambians did any serious work on the gambia. lack of material. |

Santafara you can't box in writers. What about writers who write about Gambia? It's just like saying the only people who can listen to Reggae music are Jamaicans farcical of course. There will be a time when indigenous Authors will emerge to take their rightful place in providing learning resources for future generations in Gambia. This will take time, and it's good to see a more holistic educational curriculum manifesting in the country with the introduction of mother tongue as an effective tool to spearhead learning. So, in the future, more Gambian writers will emerge from Gambian soil without having to have gone overseas to study to be fit for purpose. There are no quick fixes hard work, persistence and determination will manifest these aspirations. In other words more doing and less saying after all as the saying goes words are cheap
Peace
