According to Bathily Abdoulaye Born in 1830, he would be in Bakel at the time of the passage of El Haj Omar in 1847 in Bakel. Né en 1830, il serait ŕ Bakel au moment du passage de El Haj Omar en 1847 ŕ Bakel. Towards 20, according to A. Bathily, years he would have participated in the expedition of Kamméra against key Gamon of Tenda (this battle of Gamon had taken place by 1860, M L D would have been born by 1840) Then he would have immediately gone to Fouta to the liberalisation (he was kept as prisnnier in gamon).
According to Bathily at his arrival to Gounjourou in July, 1885 from Ségou (where he was imprisoned by Ahmadou) he have written that he had left his village "36 years ago. "(In what age has left Gounjourou? according to this version it would be in 1849).
By assuming that he had been accompanied in his native village after his higher education, he have left Goundiourou in 19 years after said studies. but nobody says in what age he left to Bakel, nor how long he stayed there.
According to Ibrahima. Baba Kaké Mamadou Lamine Dramé came back from East towards about fifty (on 1878 what dates of birth by 1828-1830). according to this author, he was still pupil at his father during the passage of El Haj Omar between Kayes and Médine in 1855 when he had about fifteen years and was very impressed by the marabou toucouleur, (he would therefore have been born by 1840).
This proposal contradicts its own fork of (too broad) 1840-1850 and the hypothesis of Abdoulaye Bathily which supports that El Haj Omar found Mamadou Lamine in Bakel in 1847... he would approach about fifty in his return of East (1872) he would therefore have been born by 1822. If you have any contractinve informations, please bring forward, Thanks.

Mbay, Mamadou Lamine Drammeh was a Sarahule who fought a guerrilla warfare against the French in Senegambia. I heard that many were afraid to associate with him publicly, and even when he was killed the person who took his body and buried him kept it a secret until lately.
Nowadays people make it a yearly event (gamo) to visit where he is buried. |
