How can people manage now?
Are taxi drivers making too much money?
Is fuel too expensive now?
Should the government subsidise fuel to help people?
Should employers pay workers fares as well as wages?

I think point showed both sides of the coin. Good reporting.

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time, they can seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall. Think of it--always.”

Kons, have you any views on the questions posed, bearing in mind that any increase in anything is critical to the average Gambian living in Gambia.

high energy prices are here to stay, and this is particularly worrying for us developing countries.

but we can start by changing our own habits, 14-passenger vans should be discouraged in favour of buses, which carry more people and the fares should be cheaper and there will be less congestion are taxi parks!!

i suppose if it cost D8 to get 14 people to Banjul it should cost D3 to get 35 passengers on a bus to Banjul.

but i hardly see buses on the banjul serrekunda highway.

those with cars should also give a ride to those who dont have, especially after work from Banjul-to the Kombos.

Our Area Councils can learn from what cities like London, Stockholm etc have done with congestion charges to encourage mass public tranport.

but very important questions indeed.
