As most places in Gambia have no postal address How do you send your passport to accompany the paperwork for the visa application for your relative to visit you?

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.
Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

Snuggels, I have just sent all the Documentation to get my Wife in UK, she comes here on friday. You do not have to send your Passport, just copy will do. That along with the other "stuff" required i sent with DHL, was very inmpressed, you can "Track" it,on line on it's journey, day by day, even tell's you the name of the person that sign's for it!! Cost £30. |

I agree about a copy of the passport becuase thats what it states on page 20 of the application form but last week a friend was told at the embassy they wanted the orinal passport and the application wouldnt get processed with out it. But they kept the 3000 Dalsi |

I could not get on this Topic, to reply snuggles, so have sent you private email.! Regarding sending things to your friend in Gambia, they must have a contact for a PO Box number, a friend maybe that works somewere? I always used to send things to my wife via her old school in Banjul, St Joseph's. And a former friend i once had, had a relation working at Mile2, so i sent things to him there. Everybody knows someone willing to help with a POBox Address. |

Thanks Tinto I think that answers the question of how to send things.
But still leaves the question of what my friend was told at the embassy that they wanted the relatives passport not a copy. So you guys that have done it and got the visa what did you send? a copy or the original passport |

Snuggels,a copy of the passport should do, maybe ur friend misunderstood the instructions. Call the visa/consular section helpline to confirm.
Better still, send an email and forward a copy of the embassy's response to ur friend. just in case....
DHL is easy, I use to pick up my packages from their office. Tell your friend to track the package online and collect it from their office, or track it from ur end then call him....
i hope this help |

I have now emailed the embassy in Bajul to clarify. Is it a copy or the original passport they require for the visa application |
