i just noticed three "dating" adverts on this site.
afrointroductions.com
singlemuslims.com
muslima.com
having perused the girls photos-for market research purposes only!- i noticed a photo of my wifes 21 yr old cousin offering herself on one site as potential girlfriend/bride.
they usually give personal details, likes/dislikes etc then say they would like to meet any man, from 18-80 yrs old!
well, my wife's cousin is clearly looking for a toubab husband, cos she has told us as much in the past.i am guessing that most of these girls on the one site are loking for "rich toubabs".
the other sites seem more religious based.
OBVIOUSLY, NOT ALL THE PEOPLE POSTING ON ThESE SITES ARE MUSLIM, before i get accused of anything.
do people think this is an ok way to find "love"?
is it an acceptable modern dating format, within the context of Islam?
is it a cattle-market, pornography, degradation of women?
should they be advertised on this website?
do african women now meet their husbands like this very often?
i did not see the equivalent men's sites advertised here.
personally, i am not bothered.
what do you think?

| I agree with u kay, I too would like to know what kind of market research lurker is doing. Joking a side, I dont think it is common, even for those living in cities. If your wife's cousin is looking for rich white men then she is a gold digger and I plea with all white men to run a mile. My hunch is she is doing it for papers - her ticket to live in Europe or USA. |

when my wife passed away 4 years ago i went crazy and put myselfe on different dating sites uk and abroad. i had many dates locally until i realize it wasent working for me after losing my wife i found that in uk the ladies wanted a free meal and AFTERS... the ones in poor countries wanted the same except they wanted to escape poverty and was prepared to take any one in the developed world...i soon came to my senses and understand that i was vulnerable more so cos of my loss.
how is it possible for a young lady to truly want me for myselfe from them sites, other scenarios are different and true love can flourish, but am sure it must be difficult from them sites or any dating site,
i was on afrointro and many more until i met a wonderfull lady in my own village in uk and we been together 3 years now and we fine,and happy.
but as in life it was an experience in relationships of different cultures i experienced at that time in my life .sexual emotional and very different to what my life was with my late wife ...AM SETTLED NOW...and under no illusions of what sex/love would be like with different cultures i done it and wouldnt ever contemplate it again...as i said.. AM SETTLED WITH A GOOD WOMAN... |

| A vast majority of profiles are gold diggers, scammers and guys posing as women. Not many genuine ones out there. I think Tescos should have singles night and would be more successful than the dating sites in finding genuine people |
