To confirm she is not Gambian after all is by itself a fruitful information. Where it turns out she is not Gambian good piece of news for all those concerned. On my part I keep an open mind and will not die of shocking results.

Guys i can bet my last Butut that this lady is not a Gambian at all. The name (last name) sound Nigerian. I have a Nigerian neighbour here in the UK who speaks Wolof so fluently that i was taken aback the first time i heard the words NA NGA DEFF(how are you) from this person. My neighbour spent three yrs teaching in The Gambia frm there to the UK.

There are many frauds going on not only Africans but many immigrants, recntly there was in the papers of certain East European in the same benefits scams. A certain politician (english) was also jailed recently in the northw est of England for benefits fraud.

There are many false passports in circulation too. Anyone with the right money and contact can get them. Gambian women have not reached this sophistication of criminality. Despite our poverty, we are mostly contented people. We rather wait for YALLAH to drop MANNA from the skies than involve in despicable 419 scam. Call me nationalist if you like, but thats MY TRUTH

What say you Konds?

It has been confirmed that the lady is born Gambian, lived in Sweden and had been married to a Nigerian. She is not from Banjul

You did the safe thing of keeping an open mind on the issue. But as the Nigerian brethren would put it wonders shall never end.

Santa,
Take the bututs these days the pounds do not come that easy.

Konds
Well if for paracetamol i wil happily donate. But knowing the love that exists between Sarangkulehs and money i hesitate.

Madiba,

Lot of things have changed in Gambia. Besides, it is safer when we don't draw sweeping conclusions. There are instances when the passion for cool money some times may overide other people's financial self discipline. Yes, Gambians are capable of things.

I am just surprised to read this from Gambians. With the exception of Karamba, all the readers are saying that this woman is a Ghanaian. Who in his right sense will attribute this face to a Ghanaian?
If this woman was given a prize as the well bahved woman in the world, would you guys say she looks more Ghanaian? This really shows the kind of hatred you have for Ghana: a country you claim to love.Which part of this woman resembles a Ghanaian? Please tell me.
And how many Ghanaian women have appeared in the news to have involved themselves in this kind of fraudulent backward behaviour?
Now I know what you think about Ghana.
You think Gambians are more decent than any people in the world, yet I stayed in the Gambia for almost two years and I saw them. Maybe this is the first Ghanaian woman to start this and more are yet to follow. A SURPRISE INDEED FROM GAMBIANS. ECOWAS UNDER THREAT.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

Kumi,

You got it all wrong again. Only one reader said she looked like a Ghanaian. If Gambians were that bad as you portray, would Momodou have disclosed that the lady is indeed Gambian? Momodou being a Gambian himself?

I dnt know your experience in The Gambia during ur two yrs stay there, but you seem so bitter.Gambians like Ghanians are proud of their identities and wats wrong wit that?

Kumi, you can't tarnish the image of The Gambia and Gambians. Get that clear!

Really, and what does that make you.
That some people said their mind does not mean the whole Gambia shares their opinion, does it
