can you imagine this in Gambia or Senegal, JAMBO,the authorities have different problems in getting defendants before a court in the UK,there was recently a CONVICTED drug trafficker who was being taken before a court to have a hearing into why his assets should not be seized, this convict refused to attend because he had a comfortable cell to serve his sentence and if he left it to attend court he may well lose it and be put in a less confortable cell,he said that that was a breach of his human rights!

I totally agree, absolutely, stupid and unbelievable ,but there you are that's one of the silly things that the politicians in Brussles didn't bargain for in their leglislation.(remember they also had an enquiry into only letting into the EU straight bananas!)I am not surprised that you havn't heard about this,if you were a government politician in charge of a country who up until it went into the EU had a quite good legal system would you want it in the headlines?,no wonder the current UK administration is frightened to hold a referendum on the proposed new EU treaty and ask the people for their views.! (Opps.......sorry about that I have gone off the posted topic and joined everything is about politics brigade on Bantaba! but there again I just didn't realise that I was IN the politics folder!)
