A Gambian friend o mine has just got a temporary visa to go and visit her sister in Spain - The problem is all the rules around it are in Spanish and cannot be understood -
Does anyone know if she will require a return ticket when travelling on her visa ????
Information will be much appreciated

| If she does not have return/forward ticket, she may not be able to enter to Spain first place. |

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

jambo, Our experience when we engage artists from outside the EU is that they must buy return tickets otherwise they would not be let in. The airlines have strict instructions not to sell one way to all persons without valid permits to the EU. I surpose Spain is the same and the case is similar, although the artists are here to work and get paid.

Was the process difficult or straight forward?,could a gambian national have a holiday in Spain,or are visas only issued for speific reasons,?illness in the family, medical treatment and the like lets not beat about the bush here Europe is VERY worried about economic migrants , and what is the cost af a visa?.Tapa you may not be able to answer this question but maybe there is someone who can.

Of course it is difficult. To get a visa from EU, a gambian citizen may be required some of these;
- A bank statement showing there is enough money to cover flights, accommodation, pocket money etc. - Prove that you have job or business in gambia you would come back. - Ideally, an invitation letter from a EU citizen/resident with proof that you have financial capability, big house to host the guest. - Health Insurance, for medical treatment, the financial requirements even more. They may require an invitation from the private hospital, or acceptance letter from school that you will go for education. - What else? |

I been to spain many times. It is the best. Anyway, it depends on what kind of vacation you want. You like sun, beach, country side, cultural trip, history, luxury, budget, music, flamenco, bull fight, pubs, historical sites, what do you like? |

| you forgot money, the visitor has to show that they have funds to support themselves, also to pay for the visa is expensive. UK visas start at 400 pounds. |
