I was just intrigued by the writings of this amazing person and his take on how to be a prince or ruler as it where made me think Yahya might have read some thing in those threads. The way I digested that mans writing a bent mind could benefit from it immensely and I dear say to the detriment of the majority.for more please read it on the net or buy the book (the prince by N.Machiavelli)

He probably did, must political leaders do. Machiavelli's 'The Prince' is perhaps the first to lay the foundation of the science of statescraft and statesmanship. It is a very relevant historical book and still continues to impact on modern politics.
However, 'The Prince' was written in and about a world very different from today's world. Besides 'The Prince' is a direct product of Machiavelli's personal experiences both as a statesman (kind of a secretary of State then), a prisoner, and a financially broken man. In fact 'The Prince' might have been written for the leadershp of Florence, the Medicci at the time in an attempt to win their favor. Machiavelli aspired to re-appear in public service. Remember, he attempted in vain to resist the return of the Medicci in power .
Machiavelli's political doctrine could be both inspirational and very cruel by modern standards. Actually, the word 'Machiavellian' itself has come to mean something bad and sinister, generally and in political circles. May be it is a misconception.
Mavchiavelli's 'The Prince' is a great work both of politics and history. So i think Jammeh and everyone else could benefit (for good or bad) by taking, even if only a quick look at this book.
