Happy Eid in Advance!

It is obvious there is only one day of Arafat and that is today. Tomorrow (Dec 19th) is Eid (feast) in most parts of the world-Allah willing. I take this opportunity to wish all believers in the feast a happy celebration. In it we ask God for true guidance, mercy, peace and support in all we do, as long as it is righteous and good for our souls in relation to our religion, life and end in this world and the here after. We ask God to protect us from the hellfire and the trials of the anti-Christ. The importance of such a feast according to the Quran and the noble Prophet Muhammad (saw) is tremendous and its virtues great. I wish everyone a joyous feast.

Regards,
Yero.

2:124. Recall that Abraham was put to the test by his Lord, through certain commands, and he fulfilled them. (God) said, "I am appointing you an imam for the people." He said, "And also my descendants?" He said, "My covenant does not include the transgressors."

The sacrificial camels we have made for you as among the symbols from Allah. in them is (much) good for you: then pronounce the name of Allah over them as they line up (for sacrifice): when they are down on their sides (after slaughter), eat ye thereof, and feed such as (beg not but) live in contentment, and such as beg with due humility: thus have We made animals subject to you, that ye may be grateful.

Kobo,
When slaughtering your ram, make sure you don’t cut your fingers.

Happy feast to you Momodou and all of Bantaba’s great readers and contributors who believe in the feast of sacrifice.

May Allah swt make us celebrate many more as He deems it fitting for our souls. Whichever is better of the two; death or life, let it ring on our souls in a state of pure Islam! (Amen!)

I wish all a happy feast!!

Let us, ummet-i muslimin

- enjoy the eid. Have fun with family, relatives, friends and community.
- take your family to visit other families, relatives and friends. Eid must be fun as well.
- Remember the poor, sick, old muslims. Visit them even you don't know them.
- Have a nice dinner with your friends, neighbours.
- Show even non-muslims how we celebrate these great days. Explain them what it is.
