Greetings Everyone How is Gambia changing tough sentences for those who's hands are caught in the honey jar. Corruption is being clamped down on very hard but I don't see our Commentors commenting on these issues, After all that would be a bit too constructive.

Well done sis, the prosecution of offenders is an exercise of due process which if carried out in all fairness would not attract any vile comment but and I stress but, if the perpetrators of heinous crimes such as where reported against state agents to wit torturing detainees/ suspects and the State covers up the dastardly acts we shall comment .Thieves whether small or big do deserve to be judge by a properly constituted tribunal .Where that Happens as a matter of course it is no news and concerns would be that that do get the deserved punishment without any fuss by any body in these regards.Take for instance long detention of suspects including the recent arrests of A.mnesty Intl. officials with the connected issued of denial of any knowledge of the queried detainees as pointers in this arena. We are concerned that people are not being properly treated in the dispensation of justice per se and so we comment on those matters. You could deal with common and normal occurrences which have I should say been given the right treatment. If you want to you clap for the police and judiciary when this happens but then they are there to do just that. |

The first person to be clamped down for corruption should be Yahya A JJJJ Jammeh. The most corrupt president in the world. He was a poor soldier in 1994 with an overdraft hanging over his head but in 2007 he is one of the richest man in the Gambia, boosting that even his great grant children will never be poor again on national TV. Sister Omega you cannot fool Gambians because we know better and we deserve better. What is your stake in the Gambia, that you are willing to send us to the gutter? Is jammeh paying you now? Go help Jamiacans, they need you most! |

Jangjang, Why not go and start the case against the man and stop grumbling. I have red much of these grumbles. Can't Gambians take the man they accuse everyday to court. He must be able to answer to you accusations. Don't you think so? Or is this another similar case of untrue intelligence statements? Why not apeal to the international court?` I am sure you can do something and stop the grumble. |

Alhassan, be realistic and don't run away from facts. How can we prosecute a sitting African president, a dictator for that matter, who controls the judiciatry, paliamentarians, virtually everything and anything that moves in the Gambia. We are talking about corruption for that matter and jammeh was no better off than most civil servants in 1997. How did he become so rich to claim that his great grant children will never be poor again after 13 years? If there is to be any justice in this world, the corruption clamp down should start with him. Just wait and see if he leaves office. He will go down like a pack of bricks. |

Surprisingly Jangjang I am not on Yaya's payroll unlike alot of commentators who previously worked for Jammeh and were sacked and now are in cyberspace reminscing on their opulent lifestyle whilst they bearly scratch out a living in self-imposed exile. Didn't they know that there has been an amnesty in Gambia for the past 6 years concerning those who left Gambia between 1994-2001.
