It is news that Yaya Jammeh, loads his head with too much Jamaican herb, otherwise weed.
Can any one confirm that?

Dalton1,
This topic is late enough considering the relevance. Recently, a former colleague of Yahya Jammeh during his gendarme days recalled an incident that occurred in a Night Club. According to that account of events, Jammeh assaulted a bar keeper causing physical bodily harm. There was a case of opium (wee)smoking and Jammeh featured prominently in the story. Word went around that a gendarme officer was involved in a Night Club fight during which the bar keeper was punched on the face. When senior officers later confirmed that it was Yahya Jammeh, his promotion was withheld. that brought about stain relations between the then promoting officer and Yahya Jammeh. Observers believe that the senior officer could not breath fresh air in Gambia soon after the cruel military junta took up arms in July 1994 until date. There may be someone in the know who is able to throw more light on this Night Club incident where Yahya Jammeh threw his wild fist on the innocent face of a jolly bar keeper tearing his lips in pieces. |

Brother Dalton1 sorry to say but this one to me is irrelevant. Do you know how many people in high places in The Gambia smoked or still smoke cannabis and drink alcohol? some are even muslims? Here in the UK it is almost 'legalised'. Infact people are trying to grow it locally in their homes due to the high demand , albeit constant police raids.so my brother let this lie low. There are many out there highly respected who were former security officers who were worst than Jammeh in terms of weed or liquor yet we eulogize them. This is cheap shot.
Dnt get me wrong, i dnt smoke it anyway nor do i smoke ciggies. |

Bro Madis,
I understand where you are coming from but it is easy to put the point across. It might look like a cheap shot but actually depends on your site view on the canabis sitiva usage or "bunkaa-yabei". If they can smoke or drink and control themselves (not to be criminals), we won't complain, but when they are loaded, that's when they become brave and order the killings, arrests, et cetera. That's when they heal the HIV Aids patients. That's when they fertilize infitile women. That's when they insult Imams. That's when they fire civil servants. So is the latest. Jammeh should be stripped off that pipe? Every solution to the killer-machinery must be explored. It's his 'attaya' boys exposing him in New York. Now you got it.

Well two points: 1. weed is still illegal in the Gambia, so if there is evidence that the president uses it, then that is an important stuff because it is a gross criminal offense. Remember the young man fined D1 million over a drug (weed) conviction?
2. The president is not an ordinary Gambian, therefore much is expected of him. In short, the president is held at a higher standard of care and responsibility. So the fact that others use weed is no defense for Jammeh's use of it. |

i would expect more from a president, but I can guarantee there are others who drink alcohol/drugs etc. You only have to look at the eractice behaviour of some of the world leaders. |

jambo, You cannot be more correct. I think irrelivant dissucions are uneccessary. Most of you pointing may have a brother or relative who smokes weed. As Jambo has said it is rampant with alkohol abuse as muslims. Try to know your relatives activities before pointing at anyone. This is how I would operate. |
