fellows here.the day of eid will be the 19th of this month.tobaski comes a bit early this year.many were expecting it to be on the 20th but it comes a day early.
the day of Arafah is on the 18th tuesady.it is sunnah for us to fast just for that one day.
take part in eid ,it is our own festival.may Allah accpet our little efforts.

| When sacriface animal, we give 1/3 to neighbour, 1/3 to poor, 1/3 keep ourselves. I am thinking if it is such good idea to practise the ritual here in australia. Not many poor families and friends, relatives. We are thinking, instead of here, we do one in Turkey, one in Gambia. After all all our relatives live in these places. Any comments? |

| what will kay be doing on the eid day ? i suspect you will take every thing philosophical as usual or am i wrong .will you be an active perticipant with us in the sunnah of muhammad? |

I came for Eid and Christmas to UK but found out that Eid is set for THURSDAY the 20th December. Can anyone confirm that for me please?

News from family sources have confirm; Supreme Islamic Council through Gambia Radio & Television Services(G.R.T.S) have announced that GAMBIA CELEBRATES EID HUL ADHA ON THURSDAY 20TH
