I am introducing myself as Miss Mireille Baker the only daughter of late Chief and Mrs. David Barker. My father was a very wealthy Coccoa merchant in Abidjan, the economic capital of Ivory Coast; my father was poisoned to death by his business associates during one of their outings on a business trip. My mother died when I was a baby and since then my father took me so special. Before the death of my father on November 2006 in a private hospital here in abidjan he secretly called me on his bed side and told me that he has the sum of Seven million,five hundred thousand United State Dollars ($US7.5M) left in fixed / suspense account in one of the prime bank here in Abidjan,that he used my name as his only daughter for the next of Kin in depositing of the fund. He also explained to me that it was because of this wealth that he was poisoned by his business associates. That due to the incessant political crisis in this country and to avoid been kill by his enemies I should seek for a foreign partner in a country of my choice where I will transfer this money and use it for investment purpose such as real estate or hotel management.
Please, I am honourably seeking your assistance in the following ways:
(1) To provide a bank account into which this money would be transferred to.
(2) To serve as a guardian of this fund since I am still a small girl
(3) To make arrangement for me to come over to your country to further my education and also to secure a resident permit in your country.Moreover, I am willing to offer you 15% of the total sum as compensation for your effort/ input after the successful transfer of this fund into your nominated account overseas.Furthermore, Pls indicate your options towards assisting me as I believe that this transaction would be conclude within seven (7) days you signify your interest to assist me. Er erklärte auch mir, daß es wegen dieser Fülle war, daß er von seinen Geschäftspartnern vergiftet wurde. Daß wegen der incessant politischen Krise in diesem Land und gewesen Tötung durch seine Feinde vermeiden, die ich für einen fremden Partner in einem Land meiner Wahl suchen sollte, in dem ich dieses Geld bringe und es zum Investitionszweck wie Immobilien- oder Hotelmanagement benutze.
Bitte suche ich achtbar deine Unterstützung in den folgenden Weisen:
(1) ein Bankkonto zur Verfügung stellen, in das dieses Geld auf gebracht würde.
(2) als Wächter dieser Kapitals dienen, da ich noch ein kleines Mädchen bin
(3) Anordnung lassen, damit ich zu deinem Land zu weiterem meine Ausbildung vorbeikomme und auch eine Residenterlaubnis in deinem Land sichere. Außerdem bin ich bereit, dir 15% der Gesamtsumme als Ausgleich für deinen Bemühung Eingang nachdem die erfolgreiche übertragung dieser Kapitals in dein ernanntes Konto anzubieten übersee. Ausserdem zeigen Pls an, daß deinen Wahlen in Richtung zur Unterstützung ich, während ich glaube, daß diese Verhandlung folgern innerhalb sieben (7) Tage sein würde, du dein Interesse bedeutest, mich zu unterstützen. I HAVE ONE TOO AND IM VERY ANGRY ABOUT IT - I HAVE WRITTEN TO ADMIN ASKING THEM TO INVESTIGATE. THIS PERSONS PROFILE SAYS THEY ARE BASED IN GERMANY - SO THEY CAN GET THIR OWN BOLODY BANK ACCOUNT AND STUFF THIER ILL GOTTEN GAINS IN IT !

I join you to petition our admins on the penetration of our mail system of that scam . Though i don't believe in censorship but i personally don't like these e-mails. I forwarded a cut piece of the e-mail here to vindicate you on your assertion.

Hi Folks, thanks for the notice. The subscriber has now been taken care of.
This scammers from Ivory Coast have made several attemps to subscribe since last year and have always been blocked.
Its anoying to receive such mail through Bantaba but the person will not be able to see your e-mail address unless you reply him/her from mail you receive through Bantaba e-mail. However, "Private Messaging" is more like the rest of the forum posting with only your username shown.
We might still have a few subscribed but don't hesitate to contact Admin if you receive any such misuse of the system.

i have received one, read it again, for a small girl, she has a good command of english. she wants a bank account, someone to look after it and make arrangements to come to my country to stay. HO HO HO, i dont think so, if he had money in an account why did he not send her away.
i want someone to reply to this email and ask those questions, start a email trail, it is the only way to catch them.     |

problem is that if you reply, you give them your e-mail address for further abuse.
i thought about leading them up the garden path, but "she" is probably a dangerous big "he" and who needs the aggro? |

I also received one of these 419-messages.  Those gangsters don't give up in million of years - I wonder if there are still people who believe their crap. Maybe we should have a sticky '419ers useless' or something like that.

| serenata - it was part of the original letter - in english and german. this scam is stupid on so many counts that the sender should go back to scam school and be re-trained. it is the most pathetic one i have seen. laughable. |

lurker, thanks, I checked my copy again and found the German (or what should be German) translation.
After reading the first lines I knew what this letter was about and didn't read further. Really, those 419-letters are ridiculous, laughable - but sometimes reading them is really amusing. Did you know that Nigeria, where 419 was 'invented', won a humorous Oxford literature award for this kind of 'prose' last year ? |
