Yet again we have some unsubstantiated BS coming from the bowels of the Freedom Newspaper. The likely senario is that the Ghanians were more likely murdered by Human Traffickers promising to take them to Europe, and once they arrived in Gambia robbed, and murdered them. This is more feasible than Jammeh ordering to kill them because up until 1994 Gambians didn't need a visa to travel to Commonwealth countries including the UK. Really there is no depths the freedom newspaper will stoop to in their tarnishing Jammeh campaign even if that means causing political disputes between friendlily African countries. I suppose anyone can set up a website to peddle misinformation, gossip and roamers even if the results of such nonsense cost innocent lives just to big-up someone else's overinflated ego to win a bit of fame over the internet.
As for the so-called insider in state if such a person exists he or she will be experiencing paranoia when his or her colleagues find out who or she is? I think in sighting violence between to states is a crime don't you think and also wasting security forces time?
Shocking revelations more like someone making up stories pretending to be a Journalist.

Your truth, my truth and the truth. What is the truth? |

Sister O,
In the case authorities/paramilitary organisations are not involved at all : why there has been no full investigation of the matter. Why all the secrets, why no official rapports of NIA or the government. Why no authopsy of the bodies, .... Strange to me.
A lot of questions to answer.

I agree with Jack, there is something fishy going on. It´s been 2 years and still no reports or any clue about what really happened to the poor Ganhians. If the authorities have nothing to do with these killings, let them prove their innocents. But untill then I say they are guilty. |

I went to Ghana town this visit.
There is NO fishing activity allowed int he village now by presidental decree. He says drying the fish in the village is a health hazzard.
Sounds like intimidation to me.
Many Ghanians have moved back home. They are frightened. I was speaking to a teacher who said Gambians are racist against other African nations, not on the surface that the tourists see, but under the surface.
Now the only fishing activity is down on the beach. It is less than it used to be. |
