The thought of a newborn baby being dumped in a toilet for me conjures up a lot of different images in my mind all as ghastly as it each other. An innocent life being snuffed out in a tragic moment of panic and fear.

Fear of responsibility being snubbed by society; and a manifestation of double standards of sex outside of marriage. That can no longer be hidden from the public eye. So when will Gambian Society address this issue to prevent another unnecessary death of an innocent child who met an untimely death because the parents failed to make a commitment to each other or to use contraception in a moment of passion.

May this child's soul rest in perfect peace.

Peace

true words sister, but this is gambia i know many families "where a child" is accepted and circumstances are not mentioned, there are orphanages for children born to these women, also if a girl gets pregnant outside of marriage, she is sent to a village and no questions asked.
this incident is sad.
