Check out this site,I just checked it and probably you would get about D36 to GBP.
http://www.oanda.com/convert/classic
Good site as you can print what they call a cheat sheet, and reverse cheat sheet, have a go its free and I think fun, lets you know exactly the conversion rates,OK on the day when you print the sheet only, but useful never the less.

Thats why I said about D36.if you work on that I bet you wont be far out,all these on line sites are not really meant for tourist rates,we all know that tourists are fair game for EVERYBODY ! Have a good time though.

As at this time 12.30 am So its changed from 6 hours ago
1 British Pound = 40.03452 Gambian Dalasi
1 Gambian Dalasi (GMD) = 0.02498 British Pound (GBP) So as can be seen it can change in a matter of hours.
Having been to America Asia Australia Africa and lots of places in between Before traveling I allways consult the exchange rates and found them to be just about right but as i said as can be seen within a matter of hours the rates can change. So you are right to be spot on you need someone who is there to know what they are getting. But it could change by the time you get there. Unless there is a crash a couple of Dalasi either way wont make much difference Good luck |

I have now been in contact with a friend in Gambia and he tells me the giong rate on the street is 38 Dalasi to the pound but fluctuates daily. He said the best he has found to exchange money is Harries Supermarket near the traffic lights in Kariba Avenue in Fagara. Which is a 5 minute drive from Kololi.

Oh good my dear sister
I have my doubts whether you are really Jamaican/Afro-Carrabian and not a Gambian who is scared or ashamed to call your self one.If you then really are from one of our lost families across the Atlantic, then my apologies.
But your Gambianisation doesn't matter as I belief you know more about the gambia than Jamaica/Afro-Carabian which we are happy and proud for, because all black people are from Africa so if you choose the Gambia,
