quite agreeable!

some of the interesting things, i think that NOI's Elijah saw himself more like a reformist. Secondly, because islam was new in the area, he capitalized on it's wisdom to convince a lot of people.

I also agree with you that their 'activism' is worth admiring. They are unified in their own group. For a fact, it haven't come to my knowledge that they twisted verses of the holy Quran.

To be honest, i interacted with then 'Captains' of the NOI who are now following pure Islam. They interacted with Malcolm,Elijah, Farakhan- hand in hand, eye in eye.

But would a great deal of his followers see him after he introduced Islam to them?

Turk, i appreciate your valuable time debating with me.

Long live your beautiful daughter Fatoumatta Bintou.

Thanks Dalton 1 for exposing these developments on new generation of NOI being enlighten to FOLLOW RIGHT PATH ('DEEN AL ISLAM') towards Malcom X directions on its originality and following FOOTSTEPS OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (s.a.w) and quest for 'SUNNA!'.

thanks d1

obviously noi was focusing more on racial issues, it is more political organization than religious. When I read some of their teachings like 'white men is devil' etc., I was really disgusted. Their base ideology is flawed. But I like the way they are organized, their brotherhood and unity within noi community. Ofcourse, racism is big issue in most christian countries where noi was born and islam is dealing with race issue much better with the concept of 'umma' than christianity.

as kobo mentioned, many of their followers were influenced by malcolm x. I read the judas factor of malcolm x assasination. The book investigates the assassination of malcolm x. basically there are 3 theories.

- During his time, malcolm x became so great and powerfull, afro-americans first time have a sense of unity, crime went down, alcohol, drug, gambling went down, they really focused on collective community devolopment. They said mafia getting business wanted to killed him to destroy afro-american community.

- Obviously, noi did not like malcolm x and they wanted revenge for his betrayal

- CIA or deep american government did to combat most successful negro movement which has the slogan have 'any means necessary'. X became so powerful and dangeous at the eyes of american radical white organization.

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.
