How on earth can an economy grow if stupid people like those mentioned as issuing dishonerable cheques are not punished most severly

Pardon my ignorance.
False cheques? did the reporter meant "bounced cheques" or the issuing of forgeries. The two are different as the culprits can say they didn't realize, whereas the other is a criminal act.

Yes see what you mean, perhaps he could have used a different word,but the piece clearly shows that educated people who without a doubt know better have tried to get something for nothing,not right whichever way you look at it.Such people are not honest,how can they be good Muslims.

Toubab, Gambia is not only comprised of Muslims but there are also Christian and others. Regardless of faith, the act is still illegal from a judicial sense and sinful from a religious perspective.

Justice must be served as impunity brings more repression and corruption!
