Jambo, yes. St. George’s Basse was established in 1942.

There is one Methodist School in Jangjangbureh established in 1949 and the other in Banjul from 1958.

BTW, you can see a list of almost all schools in Gambia at: http://resourcepage.gambia.dk/schools.htm

Jambo, I am not in a position to answer your question about school fees.
The two schools are not linked because one is a Government school and the other a mission school as far I know. Any student will be able to proceed to Armitage if they obtain the required score.

Momodou thanx for the forward. This is quite impressive. I have been involved in education in the past and i must confess , this is re-assuring after the disatrous results in recent yrs.

I think if am not mistaken this impressive Methodist Academy is somewhere along the new coastal roads which runs behind Radio Gambia Mile 7 and Independence Stadium. It was headed at inception by a veteran science teacher in St. Augustine's High School.

The dept must has taken the criticism seriously. They have a hardworking PS in Baboucarr Bouy.

Well done Education dept, teachers, parents, sponsors and students.
