so when is the next visit, i hope to go in november for two weeks, finances permitting, no matter how often i go, i have not managed to find it cheap. i eat local, can stay in b&B, take local bus, or use my own taxi driver, but spend a fortune.

How much do you see cheap ticket Santanfara?

My ticket for October - £238.

A friends quote for October ticket - £530 with Gambia Experience -how on earth do they still fill their seats? But they do! Eventually she paid £260 with another company.

Is that flight only?

Accommodation in hotels booked separate isnt always cheaper.

Plus insurance and transfers from airport.

The luggage allowance needs looking into.

Gambia experience staff are good and especially for a first visit it may give people security to know they have people on the ground if they have any problems. Eg If they need a doctor.

I have done things independently and through Gambia experience. Its a different experience, but when you add up EVERYTHING, I didnt find one much cheaper than the other.

I always have annual insurance.
I don’t need taxi from airport or hotel accommodation.
Extra luggage allowance for registered charities given.

Gambia Experience (Serenity Holidays)Will now give five kilos with begging! after travelling with them for more than 14years, more than once a year, with & without family! what an insult.
Before that I use to fly with Thompson’s (before 94) they were excellent, maybe they still fly their in-season, I haven’t checked.

Biggest payout is for Maralone tablets.
If you need medical treatment - you get up at five for MRC, go to private clinic or call a doctor and hope he is one! and I will definately know that.

I travelled with flythomascook last year also, with no problems.

Gambiabev, less than ten minutes walk from where you stay you can get European rooms for £7per night if that is what you want. Hey!get a grip, how many years you been going now? You don't need, No Guide, Bank Manager, Accountant, Estate Agent, Representatives etc.,
sab.

A friend is going to Gambia next week, a first timer.
Anybody knows and recommends a good accommodation; he is a student, so a cheap one would do him good.
He is thankful if he can get; telephone nr. or website, or …………….

Hey Tapa - don't you go mixing different kinds of malaria tablets!

I go for malarone - cheapest at ASDA if you are in UK. No side effects..

Doxycycline are fine too.

Some of the others are now less effective in sub-saharan countrues. Those mosquitos are building up resistance quickly...

I think Internet annual insurance policy is the best value.
