i am not from badibu but i have a small aspect of badibu history relating to the time of hama bah .hama bah was a ruler in the badibu region whose rule coincide with that of the first jammeh ruler .hama bah they said always collecting tax from the jammeh ruler who seek help to stop hama bah . the help came from non-other than ngaling sonko.the narator states that the jammeh family asked ngaling to defeat hama bah for them at a price .ngaling and hama bah faced each other at a battle ,the fight was tough but ngaling later killed hama bah for the jammeh's to contiune in their rule over part of badibu. the jammeh ruler is not mama tamba but an earlier ruler.the jammehs gain rulership from their uncles who they said where bushy fighting each other ,the marongs .the rulership was handed to the jammehs for a peaceful negotiation but later the jammehs tasted power and decline to hand back the power to their uncles.

Santanfara, I taught Jassey and Marong were the same. Is'int it? Are they not KARONINGKO(Jola)? This is because we do say Jasey Marong when we prais them. There is KINTEKUNDA MARONGKUNDA JANNEHYA in Baddibu.
alhasan ,you may be right .as i said i don't know much about badibu but the marongs are mandinka in badibu ,they may be karoninkas before and change.
