Do you think that once they are married, and even if they have access to good contraceptives there could be pressure from relatives/neighbours etc. to have children?

i don't even think they will use contraceptives, because of what they teach them in their ''darer''

eve , just a personal question ,are you a muslim or not ? don't get offended but your usage of darer is a bit comfusing .if you are not then i can try to explain what you are trying to explain.

thanks eve ,i was not trying to know any personal things about you but to correctly analyse your understanding of certain terms used in our senegambia region on religious matters .now coming to daaira .this is a sufi terminology .it means an association of a group of people who follow certain sufi saint's way .the word is not universal so it will be hard to here it in many other muslim countries .the daaira phylosophy is also spread among many senegambians living in europe and u.s .you can find them mainly among the wolof speaking brothers following the bye nyassi and cheirno ceesay clan .it also have some smaller grouping depending on the area this people come from . they don't follow what people term as the correct sunah or systems of the prophet of islam .so i don't believe your sister and her would be husband are members of a daaira because those people aren't very strict with certain issues especailly the mixing of men and women .
the man may be part of the tabligh jamat .this later group of people are very strict on dressing ,gazing ,mixing ,manners, associations, and most importantly on preaching islam wherever they are.they are more descipline in terms of obeying rules of islam than the daaira people so i will be surprise if your sister and would be husband are daaira members .
the tabligh jamat are famously known as the masalawu's because they use the word masala in most of their speeches .masala means by the wish of god .they don't just utah words ,they associate it with the will of God.they usually go town to town to preach to different mosques and they live a simple life ,whilst the daaira group hardly live a simple life ,they attach value to money and status .it is important to note that both daaira and tabligh jamat are sufi idealogy but the tabligh jamat is more acceptable since they maintain the original principle of sufism not the now diluted sufism of pacifism and assimilatory manners and luckwarm attitude to dogma .
i hope i did not make you comfuse .
