What do people expect if a bag of cement is D300.00. Dont blame the poor landlord. Its a demand and supply factor as Njuks believes in free enterprise.
Cost of building materials are very high and naturally, this will translate into rent. If land is being sold for millions of dalasi for just small portions big enough to build a shackle, then dont blame landlords.
There are many rent defaulters and its not a suprise to find some one not paying for over three months and what do you do? take him to the rent tribunal? In the end, you must be prepared to give free three months rent for evey room you rent out as charity. Thats why land lords ask for deposits.
Its a sign of our times and lets not play the victim card. If one finger is dipped in palm oil, it soils all the others.
