i just happened to like the name "Save the Gambia Democracy Project."
Whoever the achitect is, must have been a brilliant one.
my only objection would have been , instead of calling it a "project" which can be viewed as 'temporal', but another word usage which would mean continuation even after the current 'criminal ruler' is booted out by the necessary and available means as deemed proper by sovereign entirity of our nation .
But they (STGDP) like the many disapora associations did a good. i equally look forward to any of such galvanization that would truly pave the way forward truly in its true color. hopefully then, Gambians both at home and in diaspora would have realized the need to burry differences, unite under one umbrella for the common good.

Kobo,
That is good starting point. At each stage of our progress towards advancing Gambia, we have to rank our tasks in sequence of priority. In the process, some issues need lesser time than others. One avenue of massive failure in Gambian politics is that we have spent more energy and time building the personal position holders than we have done producing a task line for them. They end up like captains without compass, misleading everybody, including themselves to abysmal doom. To begin with drawing up feasible programme of tasks based on realistic assessment of variables will help. For a start, lot of issues will creep up but may not fit together at once. Good to make a simple affordable start. As we set on progressing, any gaps spotted along the way can get filled. With the diverse array of competencies, volunteers will chip in where their particular expertise becomes required. At this stage, simple term as Gambia Forward will do. We don't need highly technical termminologies. The task is more important than its name. |

Just observed this MOVEMENT FOR DEMOCRATIC CHANGE (MDC) and it appears to be new kind of organization with AGENDA similar to SAVE THE GAMBIA DEMOCRACY PROJECT. Can we get more information on MDC - USA
