Right brotherman, not all shares your view about how bad the man is.

It is the mark of intelligence to entertain an idea without accepting it.

I believe that the reporter Dida Halake has placed Steve Biko in the wrong context - he was an activist in a moral stuggle/to combat racism and the South African apartheid government until his life was taken at 30years - not a visionary revolutionary as stated in the observer article.

The world would be a poorer place if it was peopled by children whose parents risked nothing in the cause of social justice, for fear of personal loss. (Joe Slovo - African revolutionary)

Ready to kill over 200 Thousand Gambians (Jammeh's promise) and having actually presided over the killing of Koro Ceesay, Deyda Hydara, November 11 alleged coup plotters, 10-11 April 2000 Student demonstrators, burning of press houses, intimidation of peace-loving citizens on the mother land, arrests and tortures. Anyone who does these and lot more to fellow citizens can earn fear but not respect or honour. While you stay on backing Jammeh, he is readily adamant to silence his mere critics by death. Building cement structures, dismantling good administrative, political and legal structures is less of development. Further to all that destroying human life is the most unacceptable thing meted on citizens of a nation.
