i was having a little bit dull day untill i click to gainako online news paper. i was surprise to find our own gambia journalist babucarr sankanu piece on how we can gather information about yahya and his accomplises. he made me laugh at the threat by ivorian women to match nake to state house if mr president use marcinaries in the internal war. that threat is very real .women are so mystical they can distroy a man without using any weapon . yes this is true. that is why is days gone a playful man don't end nicely .i thought this old norms are also disappearing ,but at least sankanu reminded me of still some moral barricades. don't be a loose canon ,sleeping arround can distroy you .any way nice to see gainako accomodating controversail characters like sankanu. big up mr editor

Santanfara, am not sure if your heading "Sankanu in bed with Gainako" is quite acurate. I think just looking at the heading it seems misrepresenting without detail explanation from you.
Being in bed with Sankanu would mean that we are collaborating with him on his ideas or suggestions. For the record I would say that Sankanu is only another contributor that Gainako is given a forum for him to air out his views. It is perfectly inline with our policy of no censorship regardless of the writer's point of view or political affiliation.
I would also say that Sankanu's opinion of women being naked was entirely his. Gainako absolutely respects the dignity of any human being and would never encourage our mothers and sisters to use their bodies for political gains or anything for that matter. This is no compromise area for us at Gainako.
This is also one of the reasons why you will never see us publish personal issues related to individuals like other papers do. Morality, dignity and respect for all human souls is a fundamental principle for us. So I hope you will take the time to explain what you meant by "Sankanu in bed with Gainako" |

UNCLE BALDEH , i was only implying that statement in a light hearted joke 'not that you colloborate with him . . i perfectly understand where you are coming from . every reader would very much realise the ethical standard of gainako myself included .
so the topic ''gainako in bed with sankanu '' was meant to highlight the oponness of gainako editorial .i duely acknowledge sankanu's controvercail manners so ,his statement's have nothing to do with gainako but you provided him the medium to air out his heart's content. this is what news papers do .his take on the women issues was meant to show how mytical then people use to avoid encountering nake females without any relationship .but to use the body for polical purposes i will not aggree with that either .thanks baldeh for letting me clarify .

I thought uncle meant to hit his brethen, Sankanu.
Sankanu, ever a controversial figure. He grew up under a journalism house hold, E Sankareh of the Echo. He mentored the guy.

but his mouth and pen are 'kani bu saf'. u can take him to gallows but he will still tell you how he feels, won't be shy by his pen.
