Folks please look at this article by Mr. Fadera (of the Daily Observer) and go back to Gambia Daily News and look at the editrial "mind your language" by the same newspaper (Daily Observer).
Doesn't it look like the Observer needs to clean its own house first ? Clearly if the Daily Observer's reporters can write such horrible language , I don't see the moral obligation to criticize the public's writing the way they did.
Atleast one thing I want to correct about this article is that: "accident prevention" is not a disease as the author claims.

Hatab Fadera

Ebou Jobe, a Gambian born citizen who is in his fifties residing in Bakau Sanchaba opposite Modou UTU Ndow's mosque is undoubtedly amongst the most experienced traditional medicine practitioners. Over the years, he has been curing diseases.

His treatment is essentially based on the Holy Quran and blessings of the Almighty Allah.

In an interview with the Daily Observer, he disclosed that his medical services cover stomach pains and headache. "I also provide special treatment for accidents prevention," he said. "I recite the Holy Quran all night long and also write it on a paper which I use to prepare spiritual water, with the blessing of Almighty Allah, a person feeling stomach pain will feel the cure. This is the same procedure I use in curing many diseases including accident prevention."

Jobe clearly noted that his treatment has nothing to do with magical power. According to him, his therapy is based on the Holy Quran. Anyone interested to Mr Jobe's treatment can visit him at his residence in Bakau Sanchaba opposite Mr Modou UTU Ndow's compound.

Kayjatta,

Apart from what you observed as the illogical splash of conflicting information, the Daily Observer is all out to boost the environment for Traditional, magical, Jammeh treatment and all the scrap you may choose to call it. By writing about another "healer" USING Quranic verses, it is simply a message saying "this is normal" so leave president Jammeh ro rub dead green leaves and rotten roots on the body of AIDS patients. That is my interpretation. I may be wrong. Perhaps someone knows better.

It has an element of advertising to it. Except for the part where it states "in an interview"... One could take the whole article to be an ad for Mr. Jobe. Accident prevention huh... This is comical if the repercussions are not so deadly.
