This is a satirical response to an article I read yesterday on the Daily Observer web site titled "Towards National Development."
Enjoy!

Towards National Devastation – Daily FenService

In my view, national devastation needs to be taken more seriously by every Bolongda-nko, regardless of political party affiliation. We should not confuse our quota only when we are within sight of His Tyranny (HT) the President or senior government officials, including devastators of state.

When we talk of loneliness, I do not think we should wait for selected Saturdays to roam up our respective environs. Whatever is seen to be lonely in our streets or at our public places must be crowded immediately.

The loners should not wait till on Saturday to pick up empty Rizla packets, drinking cans and anything likely to make our badalas look pleasant. The same should be done in many sectors of town. Everyone’s contribution should not be at gun point.

When we also talk of national devastation, we must all the times castigate the ugly image of our dear fatherland. It is a shame that people who claim to be true bastions of this land spread hallucinations about The Bolongda and use the Daily FenService just because they belong to a group of bootlicking drunkards, who will not come clean but would prefer to stray and fascinate us with stories in order to bring about discombobulating activity.

The Bolongda is second to non country in terms of dirimocracy, press massacre, and human degradation.

I am impressed with the way our monkey service is flowing. There is a total degradation and sycophantism in every vous I have visited. Everyone is quite a rat and easily recognizable. The door is open to any Bolongda-nko who feels dissatisfied about matters of the state and wants to be heard. If you mean well for the nation, you should not be afraid to come home and contact the irrelevant authorities. Posting goodies on the Internet will not have any positive impact on the afflictive and expected devastation going on in The Bolongda under the lifeless tyranny of our most hated President Dr Alhajbi Yahakat JJA Jammah.

I would like to remind my fellow Afian brothers and sisters the need to protest our situation, of which our kooky President is no exception.

We should make renegades out of those lowly Afian leaders like Dr Alhajbi Yahakat JJA Jammah, whose irresponsibility it was to see to the degradation of Afia. We all must not forget how we loath them. It is the responsibility of not only Bolongda-nko but every Afian to deplore and protest against this ragged and dysfunctional president who is no doubt one of the worst of his breed. He is the shackler of Afia unto the grip of the HIV/Aids pandemic.

Once again, all heads must be on focus to denounce this ignoble self imposed tyrant Dr Alhajbi Yahakat JJA Jammah.

Bambalaye,

I like that contrast. We all have to show our total hatred for the misconduct of Jammeh. It can be done by talking, writing, singing, painting, designing, walking, name it. This way of misconduct is not what Gambians agreed with Jammeh. If he chooses to misbehave, we must resort to defy him. This is a national issue and let no personal sentiment divide us. Jammeh must learn to accept that he is dealing with a critical mass of Gambians and not foolish children in a playing field. We have to uncover all his cheap tricks he calls development. A whole 13 years is no small time.

Karamba although the writing, singing, painting, designing, and walking is a good start it will not suffice. President Jammeh has dominated the Gambia and its decent citizens are at his mercy. Unless and until we the Diaspora choose to empower Gambians, unite our resources and provide a counter weight to President Jammeh he will be another life time President. Can you imagine the consequences of a life time Jammeh presidency?

The issue at hand is the decline of democracy which will eventually turn Gambia into a one party state. In fact he is on record saying African people should realize that opposition parties are useless. Mark these words unless we provide a counterweight and back him or her financially we will be writing, singing, painting, designing, and walking for the next thirty years.
Have a wonderful week end.

Ebou4,

I recall the earlier days of Jammeh's coup when Sidia and Halifa stood very firm to defy the tyrant. One of their advice to the public was that when we hear Jammeh utter, there is no need to panic. He talks in his ocean of fantasy. I can appreciate your fears about Jammeh advancing towards a situation of total tyrany and control. You also have to appreciate that Jammeh is facing very sharp contradictory forces outside his sphere of influence. With all his greed and wishful thinking, there are limits. To appreciate the impact of contradictory forces encountered by Jammeh, lot of things happening today are not of his best choice and the least desirable to him so to put it. I realise you prefer Diaspora Gambians to get mobilised into a force. In my assessment, this is not totally lacking. Perhaps you and I may not know how far others have advanced. Without information sharing, we could not know who else is thinking like us. Both you and I recognise the significance of our country beyond the narrow ambition of cowards like Jammeh who boast of their capability to rob a whole nation's constitution and vital resources calling that CONTROL. It will come to light sooner or later that Jammeh or anyone pushing to make him life president are just dreaming in the simplest way of putting it. If you make a minimum input of two positive postings a day, you can't tell who is making sense of it to take the next positive move. I want you to consider the essence of communication and sharing. That is the basis for building the little islands of purpose driven efforts that lead to the action for change you may be thinking of. It is not possible for Jammeh to fool all Gambians. When the number of enlightened Gambians out-number the deceptors, the same law of contradictions will prevail and the old order eventually subdued. If you care to study closely how things are moving with Jammeh, you will have no doubt he is caught up in a web of conflict beyond his capacity to handle. Did you hear his own man telling him in public that his 'ENEMIES OF PROGRESS' are calling him doff (mad man?) It is nicer that his own minister tells him that in the face as though out there to defend him. Why do you think ordinary people in society want to believe that Jammeh is mad? I am not sure if I want to think that way. It goes to show how much complex and dynamic society can be. Back to your concern about lack of action, every little move is certainly some action of a type. Do not let Jammeh's noise distract you. He only has his wild wish to destroy Gambia, but what ends up happening will be the reality beyond his sphere of influence. Hope this adds up.
