has anyone paid for university fees in gambia, i have looked at web site but fees are not mentioned. i am interested in assiting a student to get into university but need as much information in advance.

Have tried in the past - but the student disappeared to UK before entering the University!
Still I made a contact with a Mr Lamin S Jaiteh, the Assistant Registrar who was very helpful and (with time) responded to emails. His address is:lsjaiteh@yahoo.co.uk
I don't know if he's still there but he was two years ago.

If you are going out soon it's even better to go and see him and take the prospective student with you. If you explain directly that you are willing to pay fees then it (may) help with the application. He then has a face to a name (as it were) Of course, your student still needs to get the requied credits etc...

thanks lilly, but i still think they could put the fees on the web page, as least then i would get an idea of the costs.

got some feed back fees are from 14,000 - 16,000 but not sure which subject they apply to could the lower subjects, law and medicine could be higher but it is at least a start.
