Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. To change the World Bank leadership is good, but this is more of systemic lapse than anything else. If the system was that transparent and seriously accountable as the world is made to believe, a matter like this could have been picked up quick. Where the World Bank is plagued by corruption at this scale, national governments can be equally corrupt without doubt.

I thought organizations like world bank, IMF, are just tools for blood sucking nations to dictate their international policies on under-developed countries by using the finance as a bribe? No? Correct me if I am wrong. For example, one motivation for Wolfowitz, neo-con, get that post to advance its imperial agenda on under-developed countries. So why concern about it?

Executive Directors

Five Executive Directors are appointed by the members with the five largest numbers of shares (currently the United States, Japan, Germany, France and the United Kingdom).

That is the unfortunate truth about the monopolistic nature of influence over operations of International Finance Capital.
