Defeated presidential contender of DRC, Bemba, refused to settle with results that brought his opponent Kabila to leadership. Bemba's bid for power is so excessive that he prefers to keep a thousand-man armed force calling it in the name of personal security. Asked to disarm his men as occasion does not call for that volume of armed forces to serve his private interest, Bemba stays with the illusion that he is still too important to stay with an army guarding him. Fighting broke out between his forces and government forces recently. He takes shelter at the South African Embassy premises on temporary protection terms.
This is the peak of power hunger. It is the same power sickness lot of some sitting African leaders suffer.
