Brother Kobo,

You have reached the burial grounds where BAD GOVERNANCE is laying low ready to be exhumed. We have to exhume the rotten skeletons of the system in Gambia. No kind person elsewhere in the wide world will step in to detach the bad hands that continue to drown our whole society. They have a feeling that political mandate means freedom to steal, cheat, tell lies, be corrupt, kill, nepotism, cronysm, and all brands of bad doing. It is not proper that people take shelter of the political atmosphere and doing every wrong in the name of political power.

Bread man thanks for keeping things real. Yes Jammeh is human like the rest of us, and he could also do with better advisors. But let's face it Jammeh has delivered more than any of the opposition thought was possible nearly 13 years ago. Jammeh still remaining in power is also down to the opposition because they naively thought that the west would step in to rescue them. Anyway as we know this is all stale news so it's really no use ruminating over the skeleton of could of been, would of been or should of been.

I think it's good to concentrate on Gambia 2007 and its future. The Gambian people aren't stupid they know what they want!

Peace

What works for one does not work for the other. There are varying states of DOMCRACIES AND POLITICAL SCIENCE, ISN'T IT?

a CLASSIC CASE IN POINT IS IMPEACHMENT. The President of United States Bill Clinton has been impeached by law makers. Does It work in Africa and in particular; Can it ever be seen to wrk in Gambian House of Parliament?

Brother Kobo,

You raised an interesting issue - IMPEACHMENT. That will not work in Gambia so long as this coup imposed military regime stays going. The MPs serve APRC and Jammeh not legitimate Gambian electorates. When it comes to exposing the crimes committed by Jammeh and setting him on stage for IMPEACHMENT they close ranks on party lines. The APRC is not open to clean governance. Gambian MPs could have impeached Jammeh after many killings commanded by him. We are long way from that standard of GOOD GOVERNANCE. That does not mean we have to allow them carry on as if it is all fine.

Karamba you have another five years to convince Gambians at home to vote for change. As things stand now they don't seemed to be convinced enough to vote out Jammeh. Why should they get rid of the goose who keeps laying the golden egg and vote for an unorganised alternative? It seems that the electorate prefer to swim with the tide of progress into 2020 rather than to swim against the current into the unknown chaotic vision without a proper strategy.

Sister Omega,

You have a valid point by the observation that the opposition in Gambia failed to get ORGANISED. I am in total agreement with you that the opposition failed themselves in the selfish process of scheming to deceive Gambians. Who knows how worse situations could have been with power in the hands of the fabric of opposition wanting to unseat Jammeh?

Sister, I differ with you when you branded Jammeh as a goose laying golden eggs. Jammeh is no golden-egg-laying goose. He is instead a hatcher of premature eggs of other geese. Jammeh diverts funds in his own name instead of allowing investment in the national interest. He is not a good manager in that regards. He needs make sense of what the job of president requires. He would do better by keeping his mind and eyes shut and not paying attention on national funds for personal gains. His indulgence in amassing private wealth is a critical case in point. Such a person cannot make a good leader. I am not personally worried as to how long it takes to unseat Jammeh. My concern is to have an enlightened Gambian populace and that is growing as far as times are moving.
