Can anyone join me in this debate because for me i don't believ that globalisation is real.I will justify this later, because I know there are people in this bantaba whom I think are may be in the wrong place cos they should be in colleges and unis and share their verse knowlege to the coming generations.I wish can be with them cos I can't stop reading their postings. keep it guys. Peace
I think this is a very interesting question Foni and i think the answer is quite complicated (i.e. not a straightforward yes or no). I think it depends on the motives behind globalisation practices - if it's all about someone (usually western) making loads of money at the expense of someone else (usually developing countries) then I think, potentially, it can do a lot of harm.
On the other hand - any thing that contributes to GENUINE progress (out of poverty) and development could be considered good.... so some ideas are postivie (like global communications...)
Globalisation is real - in the sense that the big companies and the big banks ARE global....
