Soon some more Muslim missionaries will be dispatched to China, to assist in population control.
Some of the missionaries are already actively at work here in Sweden.

Cornelius I dont understand your motivation for posting on Bantaba. You say you have never been to the Gambia...so what is your interest in a Gambian web site?
Jambo I will be interested to hear your theory.
If it is a joke posting, it is becoming boring. |

Gambia is a clean and healthy place with a congenial climate and offers a lot of cultural attractions. It’s a very popular tourist destination and contributes to the economy. After Haley’s “Roots” the whole Africa Diaspora West knows of the Gambia ( and every guy who doesn’t speak Wolof, Mandinka or Fullah calls himself Kunta Kinte) and now the recent AU meeting in Banjul, that was a lot of exposure and advertising.
One of my younger brothers and family were there last August and he was all excited about life in the Gambia.
I hope that the Gambia wins the Junior world cup in one of the coming seasons…..
Gambiabev, it took Corn a year to find The Gambia on the map....freedom & peace |

VERY MUCH can DONE
My interests in the Gambia are not o confined and are not limited to education only.
This thread is still under WORLD POLITICS in which every Tom, Dick and Sally is not biased apart from me who is familiar with all sides of the conflict.
It’s so much more productive to actively promote good ideas. About education of the type many of us are missing and therefore severely handicapped in pursuing our cherished national goals in that field. How many of us on this forum really know the Middle East? The history and religions and ideologies of that area to begin with ?
So you see we share a unity of purpose and in my case, not just for the children of the Gambia. I am a “fadder”/ father to two children in Tibet. A boy and a girl. Our Tibetan brother – used to be a translator for our teacher 16th Gyalwa Karmapa. Since 1988 he has built 108 schools in Tibet! I’ve asked him how he achieved that and the next time I meet him I hope that we’ll arrange for him to give me more details. Perhaps we could use similar fund-raising methods. Fact is though that the Gambia dose not have the same magnetic pull as does Tibet which is also almost wholly associated with a very religion. Therefore the attraction of compassion towards all things Tibetan.

Good intentions, but how far is it going?
I also made my contribution. I worked in the heart of Sierra Leone, taught at Magburaka Secondary School for Girls for a term before taking off for Ghana.
I notice that some of the later postings are full of praise for Jammeh's achievements in the education sector.
We agree that it's a most important equal rights sector.
I’m also interested in adult literacy/ education and some of the ideas of Pablo Freire in ” “Pedagogy of the Oppressed" and “ Pedagogy in Process: Letters from Guinea-Bissau”
