Awhile back I read the story about the U.S. lobbyist that was helping Jammeh to find crude oil in the Gambia. I was reading about it today and found this article in the Nation which gives more information about this lobbyist and his conservative background. The Nation which carries this article is considered a progressive journal in the U.S. Mainland

infact theres alot in the article about Hines that makes him very scary, and appears to be racist with interest in Confederacy and White Supremacist movement. How did he get linked with Jammeh then?

I really don't know, this is far beyond my understanding. Is Jammeh a US puppet? Is it useless to ask for any political/ideological consistency as far as money and power are concerned?
