http://thepoint.gm/africa/gambia/article/aprc-brought-development-but-human-rights-record-poor-says-hamat-bah

I must tell you that someone needs to wash the man's foamy mouth with soap. Anytime he says something , one no longer realizes his way of playing to the gallery for cheap popularity. While some of the points he raises make sense, the way he deals with this administration is sometimes bogus.

For one, I don't think Gambians outside need amnesty from jammeh. I l know I dont. I haven't done anything wrong to him or any other Gambian. What the online community and some of the Gambians abraod has been doing is to expose the dirty linens of the terror administration. So Hamat, I am sure you are alone and the many Gambians abroad must dissociate themselves from that. Again, I do not need amnesty from Jammeh or any ***** that believes I committed a wrong by expressing my good given right, basic right to free speech.

Second, Hamat said he must give credit to Jammeh's Government for development. Well, the question: What is development Mr. Hamat? Development is not mere white elephant structures that serve no purpose other than committing terror on innocent citizens. Gambia's food sufficiency is far from reach. Citizens are being illegaly tortued and killed timely. Newspapers and radio stations are getting closed. Elections are not conducted fairly. The country has moved to a terror machinery. Many citizens has disappeared without trace. So, where the hell is development?

These kinds of statements are unfounded. jammeh is an empty barrel working the streets of banjul. Like one of elderly friends used to say, "If given a charity to hand out to a mad man, if you pass by jammeh, you will never find a fitting candidate to give it to."

1. DAILY OBSERVER NEWS;

Opposition leader hailed for acknowledging Jammeh’s development strides

"Recent remarks by the leader of the opposition National Reconciliation Party (NRP) about the development strides of the Jammeh Administration over the past 19 years has been applauded by a prominent militant of the Ruling Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC).

It would be recalled that in the run up to the 19th Anniversary of the July 22nd Revolution, Hamat Bah in his most recent interview with The Point newspaper, acknowledged that the APRC has achieved ‘some progress’ since it came to power.

“One must admit that the APRC has registered great achievements. I will tell you that the APRC has really made some gains in terms of infrastructural development. One must admit that they built some roads, schools and really made some impact,” Bah was quoted as saying.

Basiru Gassama, APRC divisional youth adviser for the Kanifing Municipality, who walked into the offices of Daily Observer Monday, said the acknowledgement by Hamat Bah, is a show of what he called his ‘honesty.’ "I want to commend him for being honest and telling the truth,” Gassama, fondly known in political circles as ‘Bass’ stated.

Basiru Gassama is a mentally challenged person. He makes people of Bakau laugh a lot with his eccentric pronouncements on almost very subject, not just politics.

Thanks

I do not oppose unity but I oppose dumb union.
