http://allafrica.com/stories/200607130476.html It was refreshing to see such initiatives taking place in Gambia. This is definitely a step in the right direction to educate secondary school children about their Human Rights for these children are the nations future leaders.

YES Sister you are right I have also read it, It’s really pleasure to see how far we coming from .not only human rights-education but as whole .we been sleeping to long not that because GMs are lazy neither uninterested of it, but some one most be on bottom of carrying it to our forthcoming generations and I ‘m glade of having him today. But we should not let it only to the politicians but from deep back bone of homes. I knew thinks has also being changed from the parent minds because i can remembers of our times , yes time is heading only forward direction not backward and yes we are heading with it . I ‘m plea to every one who has an opportunely of supporting these children of this great future of our nations. and there is a lot of chance of doing so ,government schools and privets are all around as well as homes too .so it doesn’t matter boys or girls lets get it on, Who knows what will come out of them tomorrow. HUMAN RIGHTS IS THE BACK BONES OF HUMAN!AND GM IS HAUGHTILY OF T. PEACE

Sister Omega, what an inspiration piece, but can I ask why was it only for private schools, does anyone know why public schools do not have this kind of initiative. This is a message for all children. |

Jambo from what i gather this is a pilot scheme. In Nigeria a similiar scheme was implemented in the voluntary sector it was so successful that it was taken up by the Nigeria government and taught to teenagers as part of their Naional Service Programme,

Bro, I hope you are getting better in your taughts. I am confident that one day all Gambians shall be awear of their humanrights. As time goes by , people will adopt possitive happinings. Rome was not built in a day. Things are bound to change as Gambia is part of the civilised world. |
