Elders are respected in The Gambia that is true and they are helped by family members in their everyday needs, as prices soar everywhere in the world maybe those who tend to suffer most are the elderly who cannot perform any sort of work due to the frailty that often comes with old age,this should be a matter of urgent review with the cost of a single bag of rice coming near to D1000,eating plain rice as your staple food without additional foods and fruits that contain necessary vitamins will lead to an early death amongst many frail and elderly persons.
