A worrying development is noted by The Point, the article is far from clear in its content, using sentences such as "Our findings revealed that some of these internet scams are not done by Gambians, but non-Gambians, claiming to be Gambians." If the "findings" are so specific then why not name the countries where the "non Gambians" come from ?
It is natural to try to see good in all your fellow countrymen, but it has to be accepted that there are "bad" people in every country.
In my opinion the following paragraph does not really inspire confidence in the office of the Inspector General of Police and appears to show a lack of due diligence and is judging the outcome of any allegation made,is there any evidence to suggest that such an observation is true? :
"We urge all victims of crimes, such as internet scam or robbery to report such cases to the Office of the Inspector General of Police for appropriate actions to be taken against the culprits. And in the event they are not satisfied with the way and matter in which such issues are being handled by the police, they can expose it otherwise."
