OK FOLKS POLITICS NOW TO MAKE SOME OF OUR VERACIOUS FEEDING POSTERS ON THINGS POLITICAL
A lot of reading here for politicos to try and digest, notice that the article is published in the D.O. too much for me to pick bits from, but I would expect politicos to indulge in a feeding frenzy over the tasty morsels that they may find there, lets see if I am right

Mr Sanyang's pieces are incisive and shows a thorough understanding of the workings of mature democracies. The power structure between those who governed and those who are being governed is relational. Those who represent the interest of others are held accountable, and those whose interest are being represented demand nothing less.
The Gambia does not have the institutional framework, and the democratic infrastructure to allow an active participatory role in the democratic process. The role of civil society organizations as envisaged in Mr Sanyang's pieces, although fundamental, are negated if not marginalized by an intolerant and repressive political environment.
The Gambia should rise up to the challenge that we have as a political and democratic dispensation is not healthy.
