Bells to toll the cat
Sat dormant in the halls
He meanwhile is busy on his killing spree
In the fields where no one is free
This naughty breed
Has sackled our sweet breaths which cry to be freed
But on our very noses sat the mighty naughty cat
Threatening to kill us with his pungent fart
That trails him wherever he prowls

The much needed bells sit rusting away
We the unfortunate underlings pinned down rotting away
Hearts bleeding in silence
Faces though display smiles
Yes ! the enigmatic Gambia no problem smile !
Deep down we shimmer in heated disgust
The cowards exit from the scene of honor's battle
Shying away from the medals that beckon
Who then bells the naughty cat;
No one was there to answer
Hurriedly scurrying to our various hides
With the hope that someone else would die for our cause

Our voice is not ours to use in speech
Our eyes are not ours to see with
Our hands and entire bodies belong to he who must be obeyed
Least we gain his mighty anger
Thus sending us to his obnoxious hotels
Near or neighbours of hell on earth
Whence few return with honours to display
The norm being a begging for mercy from the naughty mighty cat
Who stinks foul with fecal ordours
Emanating from the blood of the innocent ones he killed
Poor folks who live in hell
But pretend that all is well
Hopes depend on that bell
Locked in a cell
Which holds all in a spell
Waiting to be set free one day
A day surely coming but heralds are silent
On its advent
Dooms day for the tyrant
A holy day for the oppressed
These two lucked in prayers fervent
As the gods went to sleep on the event
Until they wake up
To decide we stay in this putrid status quo

Thanks Kobo your comments appreciated here and as always I try to join the front this way. I might not have a gun to shoot the devil but my words perhaps have barbs in them to torment the dictator even if it is a bit like an ant biting an elephant,,,,,
