I would like to ask some advice.
One of my friends in Gambia has text me to ask with help to feed his family this month.
He is struggling because his brother in law has died so he is now responsible for her 6 children.
He would like to start his own business, but I don't have funds to help with that. I know that is a better long term solution than just giving a hand out. How ever in the immediate future I don't want the children to go hungry.

The advice I need is how much money does it cost these days to provide a basic diet for around 20 people in a compound for a month? I thought if I could provide that it would give him a breathing space.

I'd appreciate advice. Within the village community (eg the Mosque) is there any charity available?

Does anyone have an idea of the cost of a fridge and freezer suitable for a small ice business?

Is that about £100? Or less? I've been asked for £200, which I thought was expensive. That is why I want to check on here.

Getting on for £200 once you add the cost of transporting it to a compound. That price seems about right to me for a decent fridge/freezer. It might be possible to get one for less. But not much less than £150 I would think.
