Has the Gambian government now recognised him as the President of Ivory Coast? In April 2011, "The Gambia government would not recognise any president, including president Ouattara, or government in Africa that has been imposed by forces outside the African continent for whatever reason," a statement said....

Ivorian President Ouattara to visit Banjul The Point: Published on Monday, October 29, 2012
At the invitation of his Gambian counterpart, Ivorian President Alassan Ouattara will next week pay a “friendly and working” visit to The Gambia, Ouattara’s office announced on Saturday.
Ouattara, who is currently in Paris, France, on a private visit, will travel to neighbouring Senegal where he is expected to attend the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).
“From Dakar, President Ouattara will visit Banjul, Gambia, for a friendly and working visit at the invitation of His Excellency President Sheikh Professor Alh. Dr Yahya A.J.J Jammeh,” the presidency said in a statement.
