At the invitation of his Gambian counterpart, Ivorian President Alassan Ouattara will next week pay a “friendly and working” visit to The Gambia, Ouattara’s office announced on Saturday.

Ouattara, who is currently in Paris, France, on a private visit, will travel to neighbouring Senegal where he is expected to attend the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).

“From Dakar, President Ouattara will visit Banjul, Gambia, for a friendly and working visit at the invitation of His Excellency President Sheikh Professor Alh. Dr Yahya A.J.J Jammeh,” the presidency said in a statement.
