Persons with Disability call on Gov’t to Ratify Convention

The Gambia Federation of the Disabled (GFD) on Tuesday, 19th September, 2012, organized a day's workshop at the Kairaba Beach Hotel, for officials who were drawn from different government departments and agencies,
on the content of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability and the Draft Disability Bill 2012, which is intended to be a domestication of the Convention.
The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability is an international human rights instrument which was opened for signature in 2008.
