Ok, these six are innocent until proven guilty and they probably will not abscond so remand in custody is not required and release back into their own community is the right thing to do (in my opinion ) however EVERYONE knows of the alleged wrongdoing of these men,and if proved within the legal process of the laws of Gambia the judge should consider very carefully what message his sentence should send to the people of the Gambia,I hope that their trial is speedy and not plagued by legal delays that often happen in the Gambian justice system,of course the evidence to prove a case beyond reasonable doubt is not available until the court hearing it may well be at that time such evidence is not reliable and the accused can have the benefit of reasonable doubt and be discharged.
